If You Don't Understand a Question:
Say This:
"I'm not sure I understand. Could you explain what you mean?"

Things That Can Hurt Your Case
Inconsistent information
Make sure your answers match your documents. Review everything before the interview.
Missing documents
Bring everything requested. Missing items can delay your application.
Unreported income
Report ALL income, even cash payments. Unreported income can result in denial or fraud charges.
Vague answers
Be specific. "I don't know" is okay, but try to provide as much detail as you can.
The Best Approach
Be honest, be prepared, and ask questions if you're unsure. It's better to say "I don't know" than to guess incorrectly.
